As our new ESG Controller you can look forward to being a key member of the ESG finance team and making a real difference from day one that in the end can make a real difference in the world. GN is a large listed Danish company and therefore subject to CSRD which needs implementation and controlling.

This multi-phase role develops with our ESG implementation journey. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • You will cooperate with the ESG Finance Team and stakeholders to develop and implement ESG-related financial controls, policies, and procedures
  • You will assist with the general compliance and reporting of CSRD.
  • You will stay informed on the latest ESG and CSRD trends, regulations, and best practices, and provide guidance to the organization on their implications
  • You will develop and maintain strong working relationships with ESG rating agencies, auditors, and other relevant stakeholders
  • You will assist with the integration of ESG considerations into the company's overall financial strategy and risk management processes

Sound good so far? Here’s what you’ll need to succeed and create results

It is important that you have a curiosity to learn about ESG and CSRD. It is essential that you have your financial toolbox in order (debit, credit, controls, accounting, annual report). You might have a background from audit or similar and wants to use those skills with ESG controlling and reporting.

You are open-minded and thrive with engaging and building relationships across the whole organisation. You can work independently, but you also like to work in teams both in a leading as well as a contributing role.

Experience within financial controlling and a curiosity for ESG

You are the first to take the initiative and thrive in a position where your judgements are trusted. You take an organized approach to your tasks, and you are thorough, yet you can decipher where it is best to put your efforts. Moreover, you have an eye for quality, and you:

  • hold a master’s degree in finance, preferably within business administration & auditing, finance, accounting or similar
  • have several years of experience, preferably from an international auditing firm and/or from a large international company or similar
  • have a flair for IT systems and applications and experience with some of the following systems Microsoft D365, OneStream, Oracle or SAP BPC is an advantage
  • excellent project management skills and the ability to be self-driven and execute tasks on own including managing stakeholders and very importantly you have an interest in ESG and a willingness to have a steep learning curve

Fluent written and spoken English skills
