Finance & Reporting is part of Group Accounting
Group Accounting in Ballerup is the Shared Service Center for Denmark and other Nordic countries and consists of about 40 people. We take care of the accounting for 16 companies, including GN Store Nord A/S, the mother company, and our two business units, GN Audio (Jabra) A/S and GN Hearing A/S (Resound). Group Accounting is organized in 4 departments: Finance & Reporting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll.
As our new Senior Manager for Finance & Reporting, you will be based at our global HQ located in Ballerup, Denmark, and report to Group Accounting Director, Maria Krogsøe.
”We have just successfully implemented MS Dynamics D365. One of our companies has been running on D365 for 2 years already, while a few Navision systems will survive a few more years. So, one of your priorities will be to harmonize processes across systems” explains Group Accounting Director Maria Krogsøe.
Lead, manage and develop your team in a constantly changing global environment
You will have full people management responsibility of your team, fostering a culture of collaboration, team-spirit, and professional and personal development. And you need to ensure that your team is adhering to our accounting, finance and reporting principles.
You should expect that you will spend about 50% of your time on people management and about 50% on optimization of our accounting and finance systems and processes, together with your team.
You will be managing your team of 12 passionate, supportive and dedicated specialists, who are responsible for the general ledger, internal reporting to the consolidation team, as well as, external reporting (incl. annual reports, VAT declarations, statistics) for the Nordic entities.
Specifically, your tasks and responsibilities include:

Leading, managing, and developing your team

Act as trusted advisor for the business leaders and ensuring a smooth operation of the given entities in the business area

Take responsibility for timely monthly and yearly reporting for the given entities with high quality and compliance

Coordinate audits with group auditors

Participate in the preparation of annual reports for all entities

Collaborate with other departments across GN and drive process improvements

Ensuring that our systems, policies, and procedures adhere to GN’s company policies

You will likewise shape and drive various initiatives and projects, that lets you make your mark on future finance reporting

We imagine that you are an experienced people manager with well-developed interpersonal abilities, motivating and inspiring your team members to achieve their full potential. You are team-orientated, supportive and able to communicate complex concepts to your internal-, and external stakeholders. You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities enabling you to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Moreover, we imagine that you have:

Some years of experience with people management with the ability to lead, and motivate

Solid experience from a corporate finance department, or from a controlling environment by which you have establish strong understanding of financial reporting practices. Ideally, we imagine that you have a background, as an auditor, for international companies, whereby you are used to working with financial statements

In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and local and international accounting standards, where experience with e.g., IFRS standards will be a clear advantage

A relevant educational background within accounting, finance, or economics

A background as an auditor for an international company would be an advantage, but is not a prerequisite for the position

Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities

Change management abilities

Fluent written and spoken English skills
